A collection of stories and an unbridled train of thought guides audience and performers through the Wild West of an artist’s inner world. Interdependence in movement, sound, and landscape dance between sensibility and fantasy in search of, and commentary on, identity, place, and power. empty fields yield familiar faces, who know me, who i know too, is an experiment in indulging in nonsense and curiosity as a vehicle for stumbling into wisdom. Are creations presenters of their own wisdom, or revelations of their creator? 

Jayde Spiegel is a Los Angeles–based dancer, choreographer, and performance artist. She collages visual, physical, and bodily languages, having earned her BFA in Dance from CSULB (2024), and Certification in Fashion Design and Construction from Southwest CTA (2020). Jayde has performed across the Southwest U.S., as well as internationally in San Juan Sacatepéquez, Guatemala, and Kiel, Germany. Her choreography has been presented in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Lucca, Italy, in local and international festivals and specialized studies. Her work in choreography, sound design, and costuming earned Gala selections at ACDA’s 2023 and 2024 Baja Conferences. In her home town of Las Vegas, she has contributed to several multimedia gallery spaces, culminating in a pop-up solo exhibition featuring live performance and video installation. Most recently, she used a week in residency at Oracle Egg to develop her first evening length work. Empty Fields Yield Familiar Faces, Who Know Me, Who I Know Too, is a second dive into, and full debut of that budding, fervent research.
