About The Event
Adie San Diego's Terms of Agreement looks at the masks (or pants) we wear every day, why we put them on, and what we're protecting underneath. It moves through the tension between needing space and needing community, between showing up for oneself and showing up for others. Culture becomes a place to land, something to relax into when everything else feels uncertain. Terms of Agreement is an evening built in collaboration with the dancers of the piece.
Adie San Diego is a Filipina-American choreographer and dance artist based in LA. She holds a BFA in Dance from Point Park University and an MFA in Choreography from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Adie’s movement derives from her diverse training in classical forms, street styles, and improvisational research in cultural narrative. She has worked with many renowned artists, including Joanna Kotze, Beth Gill, Yin Yue, and Helen Simoneau, among others. Adie’s choreographic work has been presented in Raleigh, Durham, Pittsburgh, San Diego, and Los Angeles. Adie also enjoys teaching her ballet class series Ballet4Lyfe for dance professionals and adult beginners in East LA communities. Learn more at www.adiesandiego.com
