About The Event

Seder Apokálypsis is a multi-dimensional liberation ceremony of interwoven dance, music, theatre, storytelling, video, ritual, identity, subversion, and creative community spiritual practice, that will be the primary performance series of Year 3 of the 40-year Wandering in the Wilderness project.

Eric Kupers, the Wandering Ensemble, and a diverse group of artists, scholars, activists, and spiritual leaders have been collaborating on this multi-cultural performance exploration of the Jewish Passover Seder, in light of the current challenges our world is going through.

Straddling the worlds of performance, academic presentation, cultural exchange, religious ritual, community gathering, and sacred chaos event, Seder Apokálypsis will be an immersive, ever-evolving, participatory experience.

We are returning to the root meanings of “apocalypse” as a time of uncovering and revealing more expansive and liberatory ways of being together in community. We are asking ourselves and each other what is calling to be uncovered amidst all the challenges in our world today.
