About The Event

EVOKE resurfaces, once more summoning two nights of radical, transgressive, and deeply immersive performance—an unflinching exploration of the body as both canvas and conduit. This latest manifestation gathers an eclectic cadre of artists who navigate the liminal space between the visceral and the cerebral, wielding their craft to provoke, unsettle, and awaken.

This is Not a glorification of the Shadow – This is an Exaltation Ov Thee Self, Thee Whole, and One’s True Divinity.

A ritual of extremity unfolds—one where flesh is both medium and message, where the sacred and profane intertwine in acts of raw authenticity. Audiences will bear witness to unfiltered expressions of corporeal transcendence: nudity as reclamation, bloodletting as invocation, sexuality as liberation, flesh hook suspension as defiance, noise as exorcism, and video projections that dissolve the boundary between spectacle and spectator. Those unprepared for such intensity should enter with reverence—or not at all.

Originally from so-called Tucson, they weave digital rituals into cinematic expressions. Website

Angri Kitti Jacque Mahoney is a witch, composer, singer, and performance artist using art and music to dismantle personal and cultural barriers. Her work is an invocation—an exploration of transformation through sound, ritual, and movement.

Casey Anderson is a sound artist working across composition, improvisation, electronic music, saxophone, text, and installation. His work has been featured at MOCA-LA, ISSUE Project Room, STEIM, Mass MOCA, and The Walker Art Center. He co-founded The Experimental Music Yearbook and operates a wave press. Christian Anger is a Colombian-born, New York-raised multidisciplinary artist working with fabric, sound, words, and improvisational performance—essentially crafting 3D live poetry. His latest work, Martyrdom, explores the weight of faith, sacrifice, and suffering through poetry, body manipulation, and ritualistic performance, blurring the line between art and devotion.

Diana J. Torres AKA Pornoterrorista (Madrid, 1981) coined the term Pornoterrorismo in 2001, later developing it into a political-artistic movement through performance and writing. Blending poetry, literature, video, and post-porn direct action, her work confronts body politics, sexuality, gender, and the injustices of the world. Wikipedia

Fetus Disposal (Carmen Carrasco) has been a performer since 2008 doing flesh hook suspension and bloodletting rituals challenging the human body. Instagram @fetusdisposal

Jeanelle Mastema (IOVXTC) (Pronounced: Eye Of Ecstasy) is an international performance and body suspension artist exploring the psyche through theatrical rituals, somatic awareness, dissociation, and ecstatic states. Through live magick, flesh hooks, bloodletting, and visceral catharsis, she promotes empowerment by transforming the human body into an altar of limitless creativity. DA’ATH II with ACT/LDR will be collaborating with IOVXTC.

Lana Del Rabies (LDR), the project of artist Sam An, is a force in underground dark electronic and fringe heavy music. Blending industrial, gothic noise, and metal with experimental elements, she explores the esoteric brutality of human existence in an apocalyptic world. Her intense live performances immerse audiences in a cathartic, visceral experience. Website | Linktree

Lucid Interval is an interdimensional conduit bridging imagination and the tangible world. Pulsing through ripples in spacetime, this visual symphony—created by Derek Holguin—transmits immersive images, videos, and experiences, weaving psychedelia, futurism, and the unknown into a tapestry of sensory exploration.

M-0ther is an experimental audiovisual voyager, creating immersive musical experiences through field recording sampling, live electronics, sound-based installations, and performance.

MM is an enigmatic artist known for visceral, haunting imagery and performance, captured through the lens of Suitcase Joe.

Nathaniel Eras is a Los Angeles-based multi-disciplinary artist, composer, and sound designer. His recent works include scores for films such as Iffy, Drunk Bus, and How I Learned To Fly, as well as music for IFC’s Speak No Eviland A24’s Midsommar trailers. Deeply immersed in performance art and rave culture, he runs Vertexx, an ephemeral art space hosting some of LA’s most innovative underground events. His upcoming project, Omniaglyph 0, 1 & 2, offers a sonic triptych—melding mystic beauty with bleak, industrial landscapes to create deep, esoteric soundscapes. Website | Instagram | Music

Operafication (Hilary Whitmore) is a Portland-based performance artist blending operatic vocals, experimental sound, and body suspension. Her striking performances span four continents, bringing ritualistic intensity to theaters, museums, and even secret tunnels beneath rail stations. She merges classical music with the raw power of body manipulation to create transcendent spectacles.

PonyLee is a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, weaving together body modification, gender euphoria, BDSM, and sacred symbolism in their practice.

Serene B. Loin conjures ephemeral rites through video, performance, and sculpture, weaving ancestral echoes into the present. Their embodied and audiovisual practice renders the body a revelatory site for listening, possession, and transformation. Based in Los Angeles, they blur the boundary between the seen and unseen, summoning the ineffable through movement, sound, and myth.

Body suspensions will be facilitated by legendary body modification artists Ron Garza, Matt Brawley of Embrace Chaos and Orban Isma of The Skin Project.

A legendary body modification artist and educator, Ron Garza has been a professional piercer since 1992. As a member of the original U.S. body suspension performance group TSD (Traumatic Stress Discipline), he has performed suspensions for Ripley’s Believe It or Not, Criss Angel’s Mindfreak, and bands like Marilyn Manson and Black Sabbath. Website

Embrace Chaos, founded by Matt Brawley, is an artistic directive using suspension to facilitate transformative experiences. Through defying gravity, their work documents the beauty of vulnerability and power, creating sacred moments in space. Website

Orban Isma is a body suspension practitioner and performance artist navigating the thresholds of pain, ritual, and transcendence. Beginning with DisGraceLanD Entertainment in 2005, he later founded Anchors Aweigh (2011) and The Skin Project (2015), forging new paths in extreme body artistry. Collaborating with Constructs of Ritual Evolution, Wings of Desire, and Traumatic Stress Discipline, his work merges raw corporeal experience with intricate, immersive installations for nightlife, film, television, and music. Through flesh and form, he explores the spectral landscapes of human existence—mapping the mathematical rhythms that bind body, ritual, and the cosmos.
