FLORA WIEGMANN, CAROL MCDOWELL, RAE SHAOLAN BLUM, SARAH WHITE & more
Wiegmann brings together 7 artists from L.A. & N.Y. to create new dance works within a 7 day time constraint. From August 1-7, the artists will cluster within one spaces and present the new works on the 8 + 9. Just as the stars of the Pleides pass together through a dust cloud, so will the 7 artists move through this process.

Two evenings of new choreography from emerging female Southern California dance artists dripping with feminine complexity and bathed in visions of women past and present. Styled with wit and exaggeration, these works embrace and complicate themes of romantic attraction, nostalgic vocation, and lofty representation.
